  Much energy is lost in cables to remote pumps.

Cables have to be heavy to keep losses low.

 

Transmit three times more power in a cable:

Single phase to a DriveBooster U. U sends DC.

 

At the other end, a VFD converts DC into AC.

415V 50Hz or 480V 60Hz to run a motor.

Use a three-phase pump motor 415/480V.

No need to oversize the VFD or the motor. 

 

Supply voltage can be  220 - 240V.
DC is 620 - 680V.

Output of a VFD is 415V or 480V three-phase.

2.2kW = 3hp.  4kW = 5.5hp.  5.5kW = 7.5hp.
